New original abstract painting: Fascination

So before I start posting images of my new work for 2010, I still need to share one final painting from 2009.

This painting, called Fascination, was particularly admired at my solo exhibition last year, by those who love purple and shiny objects. :-)

Unfortunately, the photography just doesn't do this painting justice, but I still want you to see it, so here it is:

2010 - an exciting art year ahead!

I hope you all had a great break over the festive season, and I wish you a very happy, healthy and successful 2010.

I am so excited about this new year! Are you? What have you got planned?

Personally, I have a lot of plans to develop my art. I am full of ideas for new work and I have several exhibitions coming up, two of which will be in London. So I have a lot of painting to do.

I will be sharing my news and exhibition dates with you here, on this page, over the coming months, so if you haven't already done so please sign-up to receive updates.

And I love getting your comments and feedback, so keep those coming please. :-)

For those of you not in the UK, you may have heard that we have a lot of snow at present (to put it mildly)! I love the snow, but I am also making the most of the opportunity to stay cosy in my studio and paint. ;-) Happy days!

New original, abstract, painting: Leaving a Trace

I love creating paintings comprising several canvases. I have produced many diptychs and triptychs before, but this was the first time I have painted a pentaptych.

Called 'Leaving a Trace', it was another of the new paintings that I unveiled at my solo art exhibition, 'Sight & Touch' in October 2009.

Exhibition at Runnymede Gallery - 5 December 2009 - 28 March 2010

I am delighted to announce that I will be exhibiting at the Runnymede Gallery in Old Windsor, Berkshire, from 5 December 2009 until 28 March 2010.

The gallery, formerly known as 1215 Gallery, is now managed by artist-in-residence Gary Rogers. The exhibition will feature the work of approximately 16 artists.

The gallery is a listed building full of character, which is situated in Old Windsor, an area steeped in history and beautiful scenery.

Combine your visit to the gallery with a visit to the Magna Carta and John F Kennedy memorials. Or one of the lovely country or river walks which start on the gallery's doorstep. And enjoy tea and cake or Sunday lunch at the Magna Carta Tea Rooms opposite the gallery.

More information about the Runnymede Gallery Exhibition is on my exhibitions page.

Video of 'Sight & Touch' art exhibition

Today is the final day of 'Sight & Touch', my solo art exhibition in Henley.

It has been a wonderful, successful exhibition and I have been thrilled by the amazing response to my latest work.

A big thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition or sent me such lovely messages of support.

And, of course, special thanks to those who have bought original paintings or have commissioned me to create a unique work of art for them.

Here are a few images to share some moments from the exhibition.

I welcome your comments. :-)
